Episodic memory involves the recall of memories from a specific time and place. However, the neural processes involved in reconstructing past experience remains an open question. This line of research combines neuroimaging techniques (fMRI and iEEG) with computational models of memory to understand how the brain gives rise to observable expressions of memory.
