Memory-guided Visual Exploration

Modified from Kragel et al., 2021

In addition to supporting our ability to recall the past, memory shapes how we explore the environment and make decisions. My research in this area explores how the hippocampus, a brain structure known for its contributions to long-term memory, supports visual exploration. This work combines the high temporal resolution of intracranial EEG and eye tracking to understand how the hippocampus interacts with visual systems to dynamically support memory.
